Hurricane Guard is CWS's impact line. CWS makes it in vinyl and in aluminum, across single-hung, horizontal roller (CWS calls it a sliding window), casement and picture windows, plus sliding patio doors, a Multi-Slide door and a hinged patio door. Those are the CWS products we quote.
CWS makes Hurricane Guard in both, and its product pages list different hardware and finish options for each, such as AutoLock hardware on the vinyl single-hung and roller. Which suits your house is part of the free in-home measure, and the frame you choose is written on the quote.
CWS lists its Florida Product Approval numbers, and NOAs for aluminum products, at the bottom of each product page. Your quote names the exact product and its number, so you can match the two. Some numbers on CWS's pages are for non-impact or aluminum-only versions, which is why the quote names the version.
CWS says its Hurricane Guard picture window is available "in a variety of shapes" in vinyl and aluminum, without listing them. We confirm the shape for your opening at the measure, and ES Windows makes shaped fixed windows too. Our architectural windows page covers both.
No. CWS doesn't list a pivot door. For a pivot entry we quote ES Windows' impact pivot door, the ES-PSD5030. CWS's door line covers sliding patio doors, the Multi-Slide, and a hinged patio door that comes as a single or a double.
Plan on 10 to 12 weeks from signed contract to install day, the same as any job of ours, while we pull the permit and your windows and doors are made to your measurements. Our own crew installs them, and we see the permit through final inspection.
