Install considerations
Where casement impact windows installs go wrong — and how we get them right every time.
Casements seal only if the hinges are mounted to tolerance — a fraction off and the sash won't compress evenly. Our crews set every hinge to the manufacturer spec.
The insect screen mounts on the interior side and has to clear the crank travel. We cycle the full operation and check screen fit before sign-off.
Casement impact units lock into the frame at multiple points along the sash. We verify every locking point engages before we call the opening done.
